A musky, earthy, & spicy scent.

This bar's unique scent comes from Patchouli. Patchouli oil has been a base for perfumes & aftershaves from the beginning of time. It actually comes from the mint family and grows as a shrub with spiked flowers in the summer in hot tropic climates. The oil is extracted from the leaves.

Patchouli essential oil is used in aroma therapy to aid with depression, as a tonic for your body, an astringent for your skin, & as an insect repellent. The reason it is used in soap, other than fragrance is it good for oily skin and will tighten wrinkles, and heal scars. Just to be sure that this oil does not dry out the skin too much I add kaolin clay during the trace process of making soap. Kaolin clay adds back moisture to your skin and doesn't leave it oily feeling.
